With each release from ‘Reputation’, we learn more about Taylor Swift’s battle to be true to herself while playing the role cast to her by the media. In ‘End Game’, Taylor takes us through the experience of lusting after someone who has preconceived ideas about her. Taylor wants to be this guy’s #1 girl, but knows her reputation isn’t on her side.

This song is different that most of Taylor’s, though. She sings predominantly on the chorus, giving Future and Ed Sheeran the verses. This allows Taylor to play into her two characters (romantic, introspective Taylor and bad girl Taylor) while using her voice alone to speak her truth.
