Jessie Reyez’s debut EP is called ‘Kiddo’, but once you listen to her music, you’ll see her maturity is biting.

The Canadian singer-songwriter has written about sexism in the music industry, recovering from unfaithful relationships, and praise for her parents who immigrated to Toronto from Colombia before she was born.

Musically, Jessie Reyez accompanies her powerful and demanding, yet vulnerable, voice with acoustic guitars and R&B and electronic influences. Her instrumentally stripped-down single ‘Figures’ perfectly exemplifies the way Jessie Reyez uses her voice to make listeners feel her every word.

Listen to ‘Figures’ below.
