“Your music saved my life” is something musicians hear often, and rapper Logic knew his fans weren’t exaggerating.

Logic was inspired by his fans’ stories to create an entire album about his struggles and fears – the things no one really wants to talk about.  He titled the album ‘Everybody’.

One song on the album required extra time to perfect because Logic didn’t want sugar coat its message. The song turned out to be his anthem for suicide prevention.

‘1-800-273-8255’ featuring Alessia Cara & Khalid shares its title with the phone number for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. As the song follows a fictional conversation between a caller and hotline operator, Logic said he hopes the song speaks to those who need it and gets them to realize help is out there.
