Following hot on the heels of G-Eazy and Jeremih’s contribution to the new Ghostbusters soundtrack, the movie franchise premiered yet another song off that album. This time Fall Out Boy and Missy Elliott team up to remix the original Ghostbusters theme.

On “Ghostbusters (I’m Not Afraid),” Fall Out Boy kick off Ray Parker Jr’s already peppy song with a faster and punchier tempo. Lead singer Patrick Stump’s vocals soar high against rock guitars that take on a larger role than in the original song.

Elliott contributes a verse at the halfway mark. “Can’t sleep and I’m home alone/ Night time, my light’s on/ Woo! Got me scared/ Woo! Hidin’ underneath my bed/ In my closet, down the hall/ I see shadows all over my wall/ Man, these monsters be big and tall/ Ghostbusters, who you gon’ call?” she raps.

Two guitars reach a harmonic interplay at the end before one ends on the classic Ghostbusters riff that has become such an iconic melody in American culture. Although the original song has that riff laced throughout, Fall Out Boy and Missy Elliott’s remix saves it for the last moment.

The full soundtrack will be available July 15th, when the movie also hits theaters. Listen below.
