Demi Lovato is done with Twitter and Instagram—at least, for now. Last night, she tweeted a “goodbye” message to her 36.6 million followers and added that her popular Instagram account would hit the chopping block, too. However, Lovato says she will continue using Snapchat, a platform which largely shields users from haters and their feedback.

“I like snapchat cause I don’t have to see what some of y’all say,” she wrote, along with a plug: “Follow me if you want: theddlovato.”

For what it’s worth, Lovato’s Instagram and Twitter accounts remain open—they’ve not been deleted, though Demi seems intent on retiring them. The decision comes just days after Demi launched herself into a Mariah Carey rant, dubbing the music legend “nasty” and “unnecessarily rude” in an Instagram comments section.

Then, 20 minutes after her big announcement, Lovato commented some more:

“But why do people actually give a f— what I say?? like if you don’t care the gtfo haha,” she posted, aiming to redirect the conversation. “That one time I started my own charity providing mental health care for people who can’t afford it and this is what y’all talk about. And people wonder what’s wrong with the world. Pay more attention to good than bad.”

She added a final “wave,” emoji, as if to say “goodbye.” For now.
