As evidenced by her music, Adele takes relationships very seriously. She writes, sings about and celebrates love like it’s her job.
And she’s open to all kinds of love, as she proved Tuesday (May 3) at her show in Copenhagen, Denmark, when she invited male fans André Söderberg and Simon Carlsson onto the stage and looked on in glee as Söderberg got down on one knee and proposed to his boyfriend.
A fan video shows Adele holding the microphone for Söderberg and then jumping up and down, hugging the couple and saying, “I’m going to cry!”
Adele reportedly pulled the two out of the crowd because she liked their glasses. Söderberg told the Evening Standard that the proposal was spur of the moment.
“I had been thinking about asking him to marry me but when Adele invited us to the stage, it just happened,” said Söderberg. “I had a plastic ring on which we had bought earlier in the day when we were buying costumes, so I took that ring and put it on his finger.”
